Hey Paul,
I've been using Extensive Notes Pro on Android devices for years, and love the program, but transferring notes from one device to a new one has never worked properly. I know you haven't updated the app in several years, but I wanted to post what I had to do to get it to work since exporting never worked properly, in case anyone else comes across this.

Use Backup and Restore (under Extras), and select 'Export' under Export Database to SD Card. This does not export to an SD card, but rather creates a folder under the Device Storage (internal memeory), in the Notes Folder in the root directory, The Folder is called Exported_DB. In this folder is the exported Database, which is called Notes. Copy the Exported_DB folder and transfer it by whatever means works for you, to the new device(I copied to an SD card and moved that SD card to the new device). Then copy the Exported_DB folder to the Device Storage (internal memory) of the Android device, in the Notes folder. Open Extensive Notes Pro on the new device, again, Use Backup and Restore (under Extras), and select 'Import' under Import Database via SD Card. It will want to overwrite your existing Database, so make sure you don't have any notes on the new device, or copy them elsewhere so they won't be lost when the database if over-written. It should tell you if the import was successful. Good luck!

After many attempts to get a backup and restore to work on different devices, this is the only one that actually worked for me, and it was a pain to figure out, so I wanted to share, just in case anyone else ran into this. It would be awesome if you added this workaround to the description for others who might need to transfer their hundreds or thousands of important notes to their new device.

Thanks SO much Heath, for as least you voiced out to acknowledge my same pain out of lots of times wasted ...

Except, I did see the folder and NOTE file but it never worked from the new device where it was updated to the PRO version.

I do not understand why a "'Extensive Notes Is a Ridiculously Full Featured Note-Taking App for Android - Lifehacker' " co-exists such a seriously limited function that everyone who changes a phone would face, without an incentive to fix?

Hello Paul, my wife really loves to use this app but she was accidentally uninstall it. My question is, how to restore the notes which never backed up? Is it possible that bring back all notes after uninstall it? Thanks a lot
